PCS Proud Members' Meeting: July 2026 & Vacant Positions
PCS Proud holds a monthly members’ meeting on the last Tuesday of the month. The next meeting will take place on28 July 2026 between 6 and 8pm. Please contact equality@pcs.org.uk if you have not yet received your recurring link to join the monthly members' meeting.
This month, we have invited both the PCS national president, Bev Laidlaw, and Proud’s national liaison officer Fiona Brittle to speak to Proud members about the newly published EHRC guidance, the Cabinet Office implementation of the guidance and how the PCS national executive committee is co-ordinating to oppose the widespread reduction of the rights of Trans+ people.
At this year’s annual delegate conference, delegates overwhelmingly carried Motion A348 which called on PCS to lobby parliament to amend the law to explicitly state that trans women are women and trans men are men for all purposes, with protections for non-binary identities. Hear Bev and Fiona talk about how this action is being taken forward and what else PCS can do in the fight for Trans+ liberation.
